Ventolines was founded in 2007 by siblings Anne and Jelma de Groot. They grew up in the Noordoostpolder, where they were introduced to renewable energy when their father was one of the first to install a wind turbine on his arable farm in 1995.
After the successful realization of Windpark Westermeerwind in 2016 and the development of Windpark Fryslân in 2021, Jelma and Anne decided it was time to apply their knowledge and experience in wind energy projects to the solar energy sector. Ventolines has also developed strongly in other forms of renewable energy. Besides wind and solar energy projects, Ventolines also has a lot of knowledge and experience in storage and system integration.
